Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma (DRC).

Detailed itinerary of the 4 Days Congo Gorilla Safari
Day 1: Transfer from Kigali to Goma (DRC)
At Kigali International Airport or place of stay, your 4 days Congo Gorilla Trekking tour driver/guide will pick you up for a drive to the Democratic Republic of Congo. Start the drive after a briefing and this will last 4-5 hours before you finally cross-over to Congo through the Gisenyi border point. Your tour driver/guide will offer assistance with the necessary clearance and proceed to Goma where you will head to the Park Head offices for your permits and finally to the Lodge for meals and overnight.

Day 2: First Gorilla Trek
On day 2 of your 4 days Congo Gorilla Trekking Tour, arise for breakfast and be driven to the Park Headquarters (Bukima post) for briefing and make sure to carry along your gorilla permit, packed Lunch, drinking water and trekking gear. Meet fellow trekkers, ranger guides and porters at the Park Headquarters and start the trek that will last from 1-4 hours. However, trekking time can sometimes go beyond the indicated time because it depends on the movement of the mountain gorillas but once found, you will have one hour of interaction through photography and studying them go about with their daily activities. Partake of your packed Lunch and return to the Lodge to freshen-up, dine and rest.

Day 3: Second Gorilla Trek
